Pinch Pottery Workshop / Planters


Get your hands dirty with Latara, a potter from Camden. This workshop will give you an introduction to working with stoneware clay. It includes techniques and information on the types of clay and glazing processes. All materials and instructions to make a pinched incense holder and vase.

Latara will take away the pieces for drying then bisque firing to 1000 degrees, glazing and the final glaze firing to 1260 degrees. Pieces will be available for collection approximately 4 weeks after the class from We Are Mindful Studio or Latara's studio in Camden. You will be contacted when they are ready.

What is included:

  • Demonstration on how to make a pinched planter with a drip tray
  • Techniques and information on the types of clay and glazing processes
  • Clay and equipment for 2x planters
  • Kiln Firing of your creations
  • Herbal tea
  • Clean apron provided for each person
  • Optional Clay + Sip (BYO wine, glassware provided)

I create my functional ceramic vessels using hand throwing techniques on a Pottery Wheel. Each piece is made thoughtfully through a slow process in my small Camden studio and double checked by my Border Collie assistant, Bernie.
